About this tool
How is the score calculated?
It is a weighted sum, nothing more. Each answer carries the points shown beside it, they add up to 100, and the bands are fixed thresholds. There is no model and no dataset behind it. The weights reflect which failures cost the most in practice, and you can disagree with them.
Where does the dollar figure come from?
From your own three numbers. It takes the enquiries you say you get, the share of the score you are missing, and treats a proportion of that as recoverable work at your average job value and close rate. The full arithmetic is shown with the result so you can check it.
Is the dollar figure a prediction?
No. It is an illustration of what the gap is worth if the missing points were fully closed and the recovered enquiries converted at your current rate. Real recovery is always partial. Treat it as an order of magnitude, not a forecast.
Why does response time matter so much?
Because home-services customers contact several firms and generally book the first one who responds properly. The advantage decays in minutes, not days, which is why a fast imperfect reply beats a slow polished one.
