About this tool
Where do I find my Place ID?
Use Google's own Place ID Finder, linked on this page. Search for your business exactly as it appears on Maps and the ID appears in the marker. It is a long string starting with ChIJ, not your business name or your Maps URL.
Why not just send people my Maps listing?
Because a listing drops them on your profile, where they have to find the review button themselves. Most people do not. The direct link opens the review box with the star rating ready, which measurably increases how many reviews you actually get.
Is it against Google's rules to ask for reviews?
Asking is allowed. What is not allowed is offering anything in exchange, asking only customers you expect to be happy, or filtering people out based on what they might say. Review gating breaches Google's policy and can cost you the reviews you already have.
Does the link work for customers not signed in?
They will be asked to sign in to a Google account before they can leave a review. That is Google's requirement, not something the link can skip.
