How quickly does the text need to go out?
Within about a minute. The value of the text is that it reaches the caller before they dial the next number on the search results page, and that window is short. A text that arrives twenty minutes later is a courtesy, not a save.
Should the text come from my business number?
Yes, if at all possible. A reply to a number the caller does not recognise looks like spam, and a text from a different number than the one they dialled breaks the thread. This needs a number that can both take calls and send texts.
Is it worth asking a question in the text?
Usually, yes. A text that invites a reply starts a conversation you can convert; a text that just apologises ends it. The trade-off is that questions generate replies you have to actually answer, so only use one if someone is watching the inbox.
