Lost revenue per year $54,000
Lost revenue per month $4,500
Jobs lost per year 120 Missed calls that would have closed
Recoverable per year $18,900 At the recovery rate you set above
At 25 missed calls a month you may be leaving $54,000 a year on the table. Answering even 35% of them would be worth $18,900.

This models missed calls that would have converted at your normal close rate. It does not count callers who try you again later, so treat it as the size of the opportunity, not a guaranteed loss.

Questions

About this calculator

How do I find my real missed-call number?

Most VoIP systems (RingCentral, Dialpad, Grasshopper, OpenPhone) report unanswered and abandoned calls under call analytics. On a mobile-only setup, count the missed-call log for a typical week and multiply by four. Include calls that rang out after hours.

Should after-hours calls count?

Yes. For emergency trades they are often the highest-intent calls of the week, and they are the ones most likely to go straight to a competitor.

Isn't some of this recovered when they call back?

Some of it is. That is exactly why the recovery-rate field is separate and adjustable. The top figure is the total exposure, and the recoverable figure is what a response system is realistically worth.
