This policy explains what personal information BDEVY collects through bdevy.com and in the course of delivering our services, how we use it, and what rights you have. We collect as little as we can and we do not sell personal information.
1. What we collect
Information you give us: your name, company, email, phone number, trade, team size, the systems you use and whatever you write in an audit request or contact form.
Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed and timestamps, logged by our hosting provider for delivery and abuse prevention, plus approximate country-level location derived from IP.
Please do not send us special categories of personal data through the forms on this site.
2. How we use it
To respond to your enquiry and prepare an audit or proposal; to deliver and support the services you engage us for; to send project updates, invoices and administrative messages; to keep the site secure and available; to meet accounting and tax obligations; and, only where you have opted in, to send occasional email about our own services.
3. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar law applies we rely on: contract (to provide services or take pre-contract steps such as producing an audit), legitimate interests (site security, spam prevention, running our business), consent (marketing email and any optional cookies) and legal obligation (financial records). You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and uses no third-party advertising networks. The only external request the site makes is to Google Fonts for the site typeface, which is subject to Google's privacy policy. Our host, Cloudflare, processes request data to serve pages and protect against attacks. If we later add privacy-friendly analytics we will update this policy and seek consent where required.
5. Calculators and your inputs
The calculators run entirely in your browser. The figures you type (revenue, costs, wages, close rates) are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we have no ability to see them. If you share a calculator link containing your inputs in the address bar, those values travel in the link you share, so treat such links as you would the numbers themselves.
6. Call recording and messaging
Where we operate call answering, recording or automated messaging for a client, those calls and messages are between that client's business and its customers. Recording and message content is processed on the client's behalf under their instructions, retained per their configuration, and made available to them. Consent notices and opt-out handling are configured to support the client's legal obligations, but the client remains the controller of that data and the sender of record. If you are a customer of one of our clients and want your data removed, contact that business. We will assist them, but we cannot act on their data without their instruction.
7. Customer data we process for clients
When delivering services we process personal data belonging to our clients' customers: names, phone numbers, addresses, job details, conversation transcripts. In those cases our client is the data controller and we act as a processor: we handle that data only on their documented instructions, restrict access to staff who need it, and return or delete it at the end of the engagement.
8. AI processing
Our services use third-party AI providers to interpret and generate conversation content. We select providers that do not train their models on submitted data, agree the scope with the client before deployment, and avoid sending personal information beyond what a conversation requires. Contact form and audit request submissions from this website are not used to train any AI system.
9. Sharing and providers
We share personal information only with infrastructure and hosting providers; telephony, messaging and AI providers used to deliver a client's service; email, CRM and project tools we use to run the business; payment and accounting providers; professional advisers where reasonably needed; and authorities where legally required. All act under contract and may not use your data for their own purposes.
10. International transfers
We work with clients and providers in several countries, so information may be processed outside your country of residence. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
11. Retention
Enquiries that do not become engagements: up to 24 months. Client project records: for the engagement plus up to 6 years, or as tax rules require. Call recordings and message logs: per the client's configured retention period. Server logs: a short period set by our host, typically days. Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe.
12. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. We use access controls, encrypted credential management, least-privilege access to client systems and regular review of the providers we rely on. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data and poses a risk to you we will notify you and any relevant regulator as required.
13. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict processing, receive it in a portable format, withdraw consent, and complain to your data protection authority. Email ask@bdevy.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.
14. Children
This site is intended for business users and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Changes and contact
