Contractor Marketing ROI Calculator
Revenue from a campaign is not the same as return. This works it through to gross profit, which is the number that pays your bills.
Result
Measured on gross profit rather than revenue, which is the stricter and more useful test. A campaign showing a positive revenue return can still be losing money once job costs are paid.

About this calculator
Should I measure ROI on revenue or profit?
Gross profit. A campaign returning three times its spend in revenue at a 30% margin is barely breaking even once the work is delivered.
How long should I run a channel before judging it?
Long enough to cover your sales cycle and enough leads to be meaningful. Judging a channel on twelve leads tells you about luck, not performance.
What's the fastest way to improve this number?
Close rate, almost always. Doubling spend doubles cost; improving response and follow-up raises the return on spend you already make.
