About this calculator
What is 1 hour 45 minutes in decimal?
1.75 hours. Divide the minutes by 60 and add them to the hours, 45 ÷ 60 = 0.75.
Why can the result be negative?
Subtracting a longer duration from a shorter one gives a negative span, which is useful when comparing estimated against actual job time.
