Concrete Slab Calculator
Size a concrete slab including thickness, reinforcement and the cost to pour it.
Result
Excludes excavation, base gravel, forming, reinforcement and vapour barrier unless you fold them into the labour figure. A proper slab also needs a compacted base, which the gravel calculator sizes.

About this calculator
How thick should a garage slab be?
Typically 5–6 inches with reinforcement for residential garages, more for heavy vehicles. Local code governs, and a structural engineer should specify anything unusual.
Do I need rebar or mesh?
For anything carrying vehicles, yes. Reinforcement does not stop concrete cracking. It holds the cracks together so the slab stays serviceable.
The formula
cubic yards = length × width × (depth ÷ 12) ÷ 27
