Which reminder actually reduces no-shows?
The one thirty minutes before arrival. Day-before reminders help the customer plan, but the on-the-way message is what stops someone popping out and missing the visit entirely.
Should I charge for a no-show?
You can, and some contractors do, but the first one is usually worth absorbing. A no-show fee on a first visit tends to cost you the customer and the review; a second no-show is a different conversation.
