Concrete Bag Calculator
How many bags of pre-mixed concrete a small pour needs, and when a truck would be cheaper.
Result
Bag yields are nominal and vary a little by brand. Mixing by hand also means each batch is slightly different, which matters for strength and for colour on anything that will be seen.

About this calculator
How many 80 lb bags make a cubic yard?
About 45. That is the point where hand mixing stops making sense for most people, both for cost and for the sheer physical work.
How much water per bag?
Follow the bag, usually around three quarts for an 80 lb mix. Extra water makes it easier to place and measurably weaker, which is the most common mistake on small pours.
The formula
bags = volume in cubic feet / yield per bag, rounded up
